MUSIC

Crossroad Poets create an edgy, intoxicating mix of irony, hope, and poetic spirit. Once described as “Dylan meets Soundgarden,” they summon universal emotions of love, heartache, and dreams lost and found. With double rhythm guitars and chilling harmonies, original West Coast indie folk rock duo James Swinson and Tania Fardella create a hypnotic alchemy of sound that captivates the soul and stops time in its tracks.

After meeting at an open mic at the Starry Plough in Berkeley in 1997, they’ve honed their sound over the years as a duo and in bands The Wildflowers, Rockinghorse, and Cricket City. They moved to Southern California in 2016, and formed Crossroad Poets in 2019.

Their unique sound and harmonies have been influenced by artists including Tom Petty, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks, David Bowie, Lucinda Williams, and Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris.
